10am - 11am Presentation of Training Manual

11am - 12:30pm Discussion of field methods and equipment
• sampling design
• development of new data collection (electronic capturing)
• the data cleaning process

12:30pm - 1:30pm Lunch break

1:30pm - 2:30pm Continue discussion of field methods and equipment

2:30pm - 3:30pm Address specific survey questions (continuation of pre-conference discussions with main implementers)

3:30pm - 5pm Revisit the indicators and consider their consistency and common use, especially as we start working in other crops

Wednesday, October 19 - COSA Scientific Session (subject to change)

9am - 10am Review of COSA database advances

10am - 11:30am Review of current Field Methods and discussion of techniques to improve recall for the following:
• inputs
• labour (especially unpaid)
• pricing data

11:30am - 12:30pm Discuss how data will be shared and used

12:30pm - 1:30pm Lunch break

1:30pm - 2:30pm Review of the COSA core analysis procedures

2:30pm - 5pm Discuss methodological challenges
• how to use and analyze mixed-method techniques within and across projects
• explore alternative approaches and practical criteria for matching control to treatment groups (with/without approach, PSM)
• methodological issues for diverse qualities of data in the same data base

5pm - 6pm Review measurement techniques and technologies for some key indicators
